It was William Wilberforce that helped end slavery in England.  They have recently made a movie about Wilberforce called Amazing Grace.  We have never seen an autograph of Wilberforce for sale.  We were, however, lucky enough to find this great letter from him and although, the letter is in bad condition, the portion that you could frame with a picture of Wilberforce is fine!  We are pricing this item based on the autograph only.  It is dated September 20, 1832 and is written to Lord Radstock.  It concerns publishing one of his books into different languages.  It is signed:

“I am my dear friend,

   Yours very truly,

   W. Wilberforce”  

Again, we have never seen an autograph of this rare slavery fighter for sale!
