Rare WWII "McCoy Internment Camp, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin" Cover - Held Japanese Immigrants & German & Italian Nationals!

This cover has several large official seals: “Official H. Q. Enemy Alien Internment Camp, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin” and “Censored War Department McCoy Internment Camp. 

Germany and Japanese and some Italians (13 of whom were American citizens) were arrested in Hawaii and taken by military ship and rail to be interned at Camp McCoy in Wisconsin.  The cover is dated August 17, 1942.  The name of Lieut. R. E. Telfer is written on the cover and 306 M. P. E. G. Co. is printed.  The cover is being sent to Detroit, Michigan.

A rare WWII postal history collectible… we have not seen another example! This one is in excellent condition and great for display!
