This is the first stagecoach way-bill listing passenger’s names that we have had.  The stage is the “Virginia City and Red Bluff Stage Company.”  This document could be displayed showing either its 5½ x 8½ side, which lists the date January 19, 1898, the driver, Ed Romey, and the costs of 5 cities or opened full size to 11 x 17, showing each of the passengers names and how much they paid.
