This printed broadside on standard size letter sheet paper (5 x 8 inches) is 2 ½ pages.  The congratulatory thanks is headed, “Head Quarters, 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Middle Military Div., Nov. 6, 1864.” 

THIS IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE OF THIS PIECE WE HAVE EVER SEEN!

The content is excellent with Devin – who had just become a Brigadier General praising his troops for their heroic behavior in the previous battles that he lists.  Be sure to read it all!  It’s great!  The condition is excellent with some staining on the reverse.  For the Shenandoah Valley Campaign collector… and those that follow Phil Sheridan, here is a wonderful piece for your collection!
