A one page letter written on the famous U.S.S. Constitution - America’s first battleship made famous for its exploits against the British in the War of 1812. In this letter Lieut. Dulaney writes to E.I. Wee, Quarter Master of the U.S. Marine Corp. in Washington City. The purpose of this writing is to forward a letter to a Lieut. Hall. The Constitution at this time was at Port Mahon acclaimed to be the finest harbor in the Mediterranean, located in the Spanish Balearic Islands. Letter is in very good condition with paper loss (not effecting anything) where the wax seal was placed. A nice representative piece of history from an amazing ship.
