COMMEMORATING THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CIVIL WAR WITH

THE FINEST ORIGINAL SOLDIER'S LETTERS AND ARTIFACTS

Document Signed by Colonel & Brevet. Brig. Gen. George A. H. Blake,
1st U.S. Cav. - Kit Carson was his Guide against the Apaches!

Here is a muster-in-roll for 1st Lt. William H. Kincaid, Company F 93rd New York Infantry.  Kincaid was wounded at Spotsylvania Court House and had his leg amputated.  The muster-roll is signed by George A. H. Blake, Colonel 1st U.S. Cavalry and is dated August 24th, 1863, at a camp in Virginia.

Blake had quite a history of fighting Apaches prior to the Civil War.  See our attachments of his exploits from the book, Encyclopedia of Indian Wars.  The document has the usual breaks at the folds, but when folded can be displayed nicely with Blake’s signature.
