This CDV was taken from the personal album of A. S. Webb, which was purchased by Civil War collector Len Rosa in 1990.  We were able to purchase much of Len’s CDV collection a few years later and this CDV has been in our collection ever since.  It is the finest Howard CDV we have ever seen!  Photographed by Brady, Howard stands with his sword at his side.  At the bottom he has signed in ink, “O. O. Howard, Brig. Genl. Vols.”  A remarkable CDV for the Union General or Gettysburg collector!
