Beautiful Charleston, S.C. Advertising Cover Dated April 3, 1861 – Inventors’ Exchange, Securing Patents in the Confederate States of America!
Here is an extremely rare Confederate cover with perfect “CHARLESTON, S.C. APR. 3, 1861” postmark with 3 cent Washington stamp. The front of the cover is light green with white printing: “Eberhard Faber, 133 Williams St., New York – A. W. Faber’s Lead Pencils”. On the reverse of the envelope is an ad from the William F. Dodge company, “Dodges’ Machinery Agency & Inventors Exchange, Patent Office Department”. Below that “Charleston, S.C. April 1861”.

Condition of the cover is overall fine with minor edge wear. An extremely rare advertising cover.
