Museum Quality Americana
Grouping of ten items from the R.M.S. Lusitania that met a disastrous end when she was torpedoed by a German submarine on May 7, 1915. This great ship sank in just 18 minutes off the coast of Ireland killing 1,198 of the 1,959 people aboard. It was probably the second most famous civilian passenger liner disaster after the sinking of the Titanic. The grouping includes 6 individual year information booklets for Saloon Passengers, a general information booklet showing photos of the various accommodations, 1 menu postcard, 1 piece of stationary and a photographic impression book for the Steamship Majestic “The World’s Largest Ship.” A very amazing lot in fine condition!
