N. B. Porter, President of the Senate Confirms Gen. Dunovant & Col. Ripley - Jan. 28, 1861

This Letter-Signed by N. B. Porter, who was President of the South Carolina Senate, is written to Governor Pickens informing him of the confirmation of R. G. M. Dunovant as Brigadier General and Roswell L. Ripley as Lt. Col. of the Battalion of Artillery.  This document is on blue paper and in excellent condition.
