P.O.W. "Survivors" Medal - Connecticut Soldier Imprisoned at Andersonville & Libby

This “ladder badge” style P.O.W. medal from the state of Connecticut has the usual graphic depiction of a poor POW soldier being attacked by a dog at Andersonville.  The small print says, “Andersonville 1864” and “Death before dishonor”.  The medal still has the U.S. flag ribbon.  We have had a number of these over the years and this is the finest condition-wise we have seen!  A wonderful piece for display!
