THE FINEST ORIGINAL SOLDIER'S LETTERS AND ARTIFACTS
"Old Uncle Ned Songster" - Popular Black Songs (1850's)

This small 3 x 4 ½ inch paperback songbook has a salmon colored cover and is in amazing condition.  This little booklet would look great in a black heritage display!  It is 248 pages long and has 41 songs such as: “Good Old Dinah”, “Massa’s in the Cold Ground”, “What shall this darkey do?”, and of course “Uncle Ned”.

The songster was published by Fisher & Brother and while it is not dated, it appears to be middle to late 1850’s.  We have seen a copy of this songster with part of the cover or back missing… never one in such nice shape!
