Oath of Allegiance from Campbellton, Ga.
Here is a nice example of the oath of allegiance to the United States of America that had to be signed by Confederate Sympathizers after the war. At the top in bold letters is “United States of America”. Off to the left: “GEORGIA, CAMPBELL COUNTY”. The oath is then written out and it is signed in ink by H. L. Morrow, a resident of Campbellton, August 31st, 1865. The document is signed by the County Ordinary, R. C. Beavers.

The document measures 5 ½ x 8 inches and is in fine condition. At the very bottom of the document is printed, “Atlanta Intelligencer Print”. A great example of the oath.
