Lucas Battalion of Artillery, Battery Dill, James Island - Clothing Issued to CS Soldier from Ireland

1 cap, 1 jacket, 1 pr. pants, 2 cotton shirts, 2 pr. socks, 1 pr. shoes & 1 blanket” is the clothing issued to M. Stanton, Company B of the Lucas Battalion of Artillery, 15th Battalion South Carolina Heavy Artillery.  On the reverse the document is signed by Captain Thomas M. Barker and the front is signed by J. Frasn Mathewes.  The document measures 22 x 6 inches and is written in ink.  There is some staining but overall a fine Confederate document!  Stanton was from Limerick, Ireland!
