Kilpatrick's AAG. Capt. L. G. Estes Document Signed - Won MOH!

Here is a wonderful “Head Quarters 3rd Cavalry Division” Special Order relating to the 1st Michigan Cavalry, the 1st Virginia (W. Va.) Cavalry and the 5th Michigan Cavalry.  It is signed by General Kilpatrick’s Chief of Staff and Adjutant-General Captain Llewellyn G. Estes, who won the Medal of Honor charging over a burning bush.

ESTES LED TWO COMPANIES OF THE 10TH OHIO CAVALRY,
ARMED WITH SPENCER CARBINES ACROSS A BURNING
BRIDGE
NEAR JONESBORO, GEORGIA.

The document would look great framed as it has the printed Cavalry Corps imprint at the top and there is a wonderful picture of Estes charging over the bridge in the Medal of Honor book.  A color copy of the write up and picture are included.  The document has staining at the top and some wrinkling.  All ink is nice and dark.  A wonderful piece for the Cavalry or Medal of Honor collector!
