Here is an 8 page letter from William Stowe, Company F, 2nd Vermont Infantry.  This letter is dated May 10, 1863.  Stowe would be killed one year later (May 5, 1864) in the Wilderness.  The letter is written in pencil and is light in a number of places… but obviously, totally readable as you can see from the thrilling transcription below! 

A tremendous content letter for the Vermont collector or collector of great letters!
