General Caldwell fought in every action of the Army of the Potomac from its organization until Grant took command in 1864!  The autograph measuring 2 x 3 ¼ inches is out of an album and has not been dismounted from the album page (this could easily be done if desired).  There is some age spotting but overall a nice dark autograph in ink and perfect to frame up with a picture of the General!
