This one page “List of Quarter-Master Stores received by Lieut. Charles Fosselman, Co. C., 7th Regt. N.J. Vols.” lists 11 different categories of items in “worn” condition received from Lt. H. D. Crane of Company C. 

THIS IS A LIST OF ITEMS THAT THE 7TH NEW JERSEY CARRIED INTO THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG 4 DAYS LATER.  INCLUDED IS THEIR DRUM, 29 KNAPSACKS, 29 CANTEENS, AND OTHER INTERESTING ITEMS, ALL TO BE USED

“At Gettysburg, on July 2nd, in the face of a murderous fire, the New Jersey troops held their position for a time, but were ultimately compelled to fall back…”

Fosselman, who signs the document as a 2nd Lieutenant, would live to eventually become Major in the 7th.   Crane would eventually become a Captain.  Document is in excellent condition and a great New Jersey/Gettysburg item!
