Museum Quality Americana
Excellent seated pose of George Armstrong Custer taken by John Golden & Co., Washington D.C. This CDV personally belonged to Medal of Honor winner Gen. A. S. Webb and was taken out of his personal album by Civil War dealer Len Rosa some 20 years ago. In period ink, on the reverse, is written (probably in Webb’s hand) “Genl. Custer, Comd’g. Cavl’y Div.” CDV has minor spotting and is in overall very fine condition. Please be sure to check out the Custer document in our Distinguished Documents section! The pair would look fantastic in a display together!
