Offered is an excellent autograph of Colonel and Chief of Artillery J. B. Walton, who commanded the famous Washington Artillery of New Orleans.  The Washington Artillery was New Orleans most famous and oldest Militia organization.  This is the first autograph of Walton that we have had (or actually seen!).  It comes from a collection assembled by a member of the Confederate Treasury Department.

The autograph is on blue stationary and measures 1 ½ x 4 inches.  It is in fine condition with glue mounting traces on the reverse.
