Colonel of the 33rd S.C. Militia, Charles Alston, Jr. Writes on CONFEDERATE
PATRIOTIC STATIONARY - FURNISHING THE "ALL SAINTS RIFLEMEN"!

This one page letter with a 7 star Confederate flag in the upper left corner is written from Waccauram, S.C. on April 27th, 1861.  The letter is all in the hand of Charles Alston, Jr., Col., 33rd Regt. S.C.M.  He is writing Col. Manigault, Chief of the Ordnance.


 “Dear Sir,

                  I enclose you the original bill for belts furnished by Thomas Randall to the
All Saints Riflemen.  This should be I think on file with your papers as it relates to
equipments furnished by the state.  I paid over $5.00 you gave me. 

                  
                
Capt. Daggett will be down in a few days to receive his caipons and harness.
