Museum Quality Americana
Magnificent pose CDV of Henry E. Kinsman, a Vermonter, who enlisted as a 1st Sgt. in 1861 and eventually promoted to 1st Lieut. at the end of 1863. He was wounded on 5/7/64 at the Battle of the Wilderness in Virginia. Kinsman holds a Sharps rifle with a very interesting Sharp Shooter long-distance sight. This CDV came out of an album and the album page with ink I.D. stating, “1st U.S. Sharp Shooters – Sergeant Kinsman of Maine” is included. The photographer is R. A. Lewis, New York. The CDV is in excellent condition.
