Confederate Blockade Runner Bond: Charleston Importing & Exporting Co.

This bond, with a great vignette of a blockade runner in the center, certifies that Mr. P. O’Conner is entitled to 5 shares of Capital Stock.  Dated November 7th, 1864, it is signed by Henry Cobia, who was a famous Charlestonian whose name is synonymous with blockade running.  The bond measures 4 ½ x 9 ¼.  It is in very fine condition.  A $3,000 value!
