CS Postal Forms

Two Confederate States of America post office forms used by the Postmaster of Spartanburg, South Carolina.  The first one dated October 9, 1863 informs the post master that 10,000 ten-cent stamps are being sent and is signed by J. A. Lee, Postmaster.  The other post office document sent to Spartanburg from the post office inspection office in Richmond, Virginia dated September 10, 1864 and lists regulations regarding postal routes.  Both documents are written on brown Confederate paper and are in very good condition without any major tears.  They make a very nice addition to the collection of any collector of Confederate postal history… or the history of Spartanburg!

#CG7 – Price for the pair $695
