Union Chaplain's Cover - Big Oval Stamp from McClellan U.S. Hospital - Best we have seen!

If you wanted one example of a cover with a docketing of a U.S. Chaplain, this is the best we have ever seen for display!  James Shrigley enlisted in January of 1863 as a Chaplain in the U.S. Volunteers Hospital Chaplains.  He served the rest of the war until July 26th, 1865.  Shrigley was born in England and was assigned to the McClellan U.S. Hospital.  The cover has a manuscript “Due 5” and a fantastic “Rising Sun, Pa. July 13th” postmark.  The cover is reduced a bit at the right.  A wonderful display piece!
