This Alabama Volunteer Corps. button is Albert’s AB3A1 with a Scovill Mfg. Co., Waterbury back mark.  It is 21 mm. and has 90% gold gilt.  The button has a perfect straight shank.  There may be a slight indentation on the front shield of the eagle… it is difficult to tell if the shield is supposed to be indented a little.  A truly magnificent button for the most discriminating collector or museum.
