A Group of 8 Pre-Civil War Little Religious Books from a New England Estate - Two by the American Tract Society, All with Cute Content & Illustrations

The smallest of these books, “God’s Love to Wicked Little Joseph” – He was a very bad boy!  The Dairyman’s Daughter (1830’s), The Penny Tract (1823), Original Hymns for Sunday School (1820), On Filial Duty an Address to Young People (1825), The History of Mary Saunders (1823),  Children in the Wood (1837), and Experiment with Living without means (1837).

Obviously all these little pamphlets have issues.  Several are missing the back cover but each is a colorful example of the moral character of our country prior to the Civil War.
