24th Michigan Ladder Badge

Reunion Ladder Badge for the famous 24th Michigan Volunteer Infantry, organized in Detroit in 8/1862.  This first Corp Regiment suffered the largest number of casualties at Gettysburg of any Regiment.  This badge worn by a vet who served in Company E still has the original blue ribbon attached.  One of the scarcest of all Ladder Badges and the only 24th Michigan Badge we have seen in the last 20 years.
