This shield style pin was excavated on the outskirts of Gettysburg, Pa. many years ago. The T-bar pin on the reverse has broken, but part remains. The front of the shield displays a beautiful patina... a truly beautiful I.D. pin. The 1st Regular Army Cavalry began their fighting career in Williamsburg, Va., fought at Upperville, Va., Gettysburg, Boonesboro, participated in the largest Cavalry battle fought on U.S. soil at Brandy Station, Pa. The name of the digger provided to the purchaser.
