Large Autograph of Edward D. Tracy, Lt. Col. 19th Alabama on Beautiful Mobile, Alabama December 10th, 1861 Cover - Tracy became Brig. Genl. only to be killed in May of 1863

This gold colored cover has the most beautiful autograph you could want of a killed in action Confederate General.  Edward Dorr Tracy led the 19th Alabama with great distinction at the battle of Shiloh.  He was killed on May 1st, 1863 while leading his Alabama regiments at the battle of Port Gibson.  Autographs of the Confederacy lists Tracy as “A Rare Signature”.

The cover is addressed to Mrs. E. D. Tracy in Huntsville, Alabama.  It has “Due 5” markings and a perfect “Mobile, Alabama December 10th, 1861” postmark.  A true “cover that talks”!
