Here is a great frameable pass signed by “R. Logan Jr., Capt., Meadsville Grays” and indorsed “Approved, Jas. Gregory Hodges, Col. Commdg. 14th Reg. Va. Vol.”  The pass states “Lieut. S. S. Kent has permission to be absent for two days for the purpose of going to Richmond to buy necessities for the company.”  We will include several copies of pages from the excellent book, Nothing but Glory: Pickett’s Division at Gettysburg that describes the brave 14th Virginia.
