Christ in the Camp, Personal Reminiscences of Gen. Robert E. Lee and Life and Letters of Robert E. Lee are three of the famous books that Chaplain J. William Jones wrote.  The signature of Jones is on the back of a check made payable to the Southern Historical Society in 1879.  Jones writes:

The stories in Christ in the Camp are some of our favorites.  Jones is perhaps one of the most famous Confederate Chaplains.  The check is in very good condition and will frame beautifully.
