Silver I.D. Pin: Sergt. Lyman Wolcott 108th N.Y. Infantry - Enlisted on Aug. 6th, 1862 & just a month later his regiment suffered 150 causalities at the Battle of Antietam.  Lyman would go on to survive heavy loss at Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville & Gettysburg before being wounded at Bristoe Station.

This silver shield-type I.D. pin has a beautiful inscription and a wonderful look to it.  Over the past 150 years the ‘T’ bar pin on the back as rusted off, but the rest of the pin is in beautiful shape.

If you want an I.D. pin from a truly hard fought Union regiment, you would be hard pressed to find a better example!
