COMMEMORATING THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CIVIL WAR WITH

THE FINEST ORIGINAL SOLDIER'S LETTERS AND ARTIFACTS
100th Pa. - Battle of Secessionville - "The Rebels shot horseshoes, chains and glass bottles out of their cannon!"

Writing from Beaufort, S.C. Frank Grant, Company D 100th Pennsylvania Volunteers writes home to his father.  The letter comes with its original envelope addressed to New Brighton, Pa.  The letter is written in ink and is 3 pages long with full written out I.D.

This letter originally came from relatives who had a CDV and the Western Union telegram announcing Grants death and being buried on the field of battle by his Chaplain.  We were able to get a color copy of the CDV and telegram.  Together with this original letter, they make a tremendous set!
